It's the best hip ever! Lime!

Electric Scooter LIME, launched in California, USA and launched only 500 in Auckland on October 15th !! I finally got on.

What is lime?

How to use electric scooter sharing service is similar to bicycle sharing service. You can find a scooter near you and pay for it on your smartphone app.

Terms and conditions must be a driver's license, a credit card, and 18 years of age or older. Helmets must be worn as a necessity, and can only ride on roads, not sidewalks. If there is a difference with the bicycle, it is parking. There is no parking space on the scooter. Because it is non-standard, it is only necessary to put it where it does not obstruct the passage. It is very convenient to use.

How to use.

1. Install the Lime application.

You can download it from Google's Play Store and Apple's App Store ~

Once you install the app and authenticate your membership, you will see a tab to allow location services as shown below.

Because it is a GPS-based service, you can click Allow.

It is very easy to join because you only have to verify your cell phone number.

2. Register your card!

You can register your card (Credit, Debit) and charge it for $ 10 beforehand,

You can also use it as a post-pay payment.

I had a suspicion because it was so easy to join, I did not register my card, I found the scooter,

I almost lost it to someone else.

ou can see the scooter around you by zooming in on your location by pressing the button below the two buttons on the bottom right.

Since there is no reservation function yet, you have to check the location of the scooter in real time while holding down the refresh button.

While I go to find a scooter, if someone else rides first, it disappears from the map.

(For reference, I walked around Auckland City for about an hour, but I did not do it five times.)

And because parking is possible anywhere, finding is a bit tricky.

I just found a guy in the shade next to the tree !!

How good it feels after searching.

If I'm near the scooter I'm going to get, but I can not find it

Now, let's ride.

If you click Scan to Ride in the application, a small window will appear where you can scan the QR Code!

It recognizes the QR code attached to the right hand side as shown in the picture below!

If it is recognized automatically and the card is registered, it will be started!

Have a driver license on your app, write a helmet, park your car in a safe place, and so on.

(I have never seen a person wearing a helmet)

When you see the display among the scooters, the remaining battery level and speed are displayed!

Let's get it!

Push forward using the propulsion force like the general kickboard, Push push switch on the right, and forward by the electric motor force. (I thought I started uphill and it was broken)

I ran the electric scooter for the first time and it was not easy to balance it, but it only takes 3 minutes. And it's so fun. !!!!!!!!!

The app will show you where and how long you've been, and you will see how much money has gone up.

The speed does not go up more than 15Km, so it is very good because it does not feel fast or slow.

One interesting thing is that foreigners who are passing by ask about how they use it and they show interest.

I do not think it's a bad experience to be familiar with people who do not know English and write.

The fee is ~?

You will be charged $ 1 unlock fee and ¢ 30 per minute on first use. I used about 1.3Km for 20-25 minutes, and I was charged about $ 7.8.

4. How about parking?

You can do it anywhere. If you try to park in the restricted parking area designated by Lime, the riding will not be terminated. This is all you need to do. (It seems to have limitations on Lime side because it needs to check its position through GPS interlocking with application.)

5. Are jobs created using this?!

Lime is recruiting Juicer to pick up and recharge scooters using your own car.

The application and homepage are listed pay as USD150 per day, but this is more than NZD200 ?!

I was interested, but of course I have to work with IRD number! It's a bit of a burden to get a second job for me.

If you are interested, it will not be too bad to support.

I have already read about how to use LIME for hot and hip electric scooters in Auckland. If you have any need for additional explanation, please refer to the official homepage for more information. If you have any questions please feel free to leave a comment.
